Your lists are open. They can host the people you invite. These people can then have tasks. Once people join a list, they have their privileges. They can assign tasks and even make their tasks.

This tool works well on most operating systems. Even though Wunderlist is a Microsoft product, it has versions for iOS, Android, and even Amazon Fire devices. There’s a standard web application that you can use across all platforms. Additionally, there are browser extensions for Chrome and Safari browsers.
4. Subtasks and Reminders
These two features are essential for any productivity app. Microsoft does not develop any more new Wunderlist features. It is why their sub-tasks and reminders are so far behind those of competing software. You cannot add many details to subtasks. They are nothing more than lists of information. Wunderlist’s reminders are also woefully basic. While many other productivity apps have advanced location reminders, there’s nothing of the sort here.
Wunderlist’s support is still standing, although without any new features. There is a search bar on their support page where you can enter any questions you have. There are also articles on a majority of tasks you will have to carry out if you join Wunderlist. The list of articles also includes pieces on integrations. It is fair to say that Wunderlist support isn’t out of this world. However, you can hardly expect anything more of an app that’s supposed to fade out soon.
Any reputable ranking of productivity apps must have Todoist somewhere. Apart from an impressive interface, Todoist also has a collection of useful features.
The primary purpose of productivity apps is task management. Tasks are activities that drive an organization. With Todoist, you can break them down into subtasks for better control. The Todoist app makes use of lists, unlike many other modern apps.
There are so many things you can do with the task function. You can include comments that provide more information on them. You can give tasks to different designations. As a group leader in a collaboration, you can assign tasks to different people on your team.

Given our hectic world, reminders are precious. Todoist has a hierarchy of reminders. At the very bottom are regular reminders that are time-based. Next on the list are recurrent reminders.
You will love these if most of your tasks are recur and you need constant alerts. The last level of reminders is the location reminders. In addition to time, these reminders rely on location. Unfortunately, Only premium users can access location reminders.
Part of improving your productivity involves collaborative working. Todoist makes collaboration on projects more manageable. If you wish to create a collaborative project, you must first ensure that members of your team register on Todoist. Once members have enrolled and have received invitations to a project, that’s it. They can upload files, post comments on tasks, and have other members join the project. You can also have different members receive only notifications relevant to their specific tasks.
5. Themes and Templates
Themes modify the way your interface looks. Todoist has several solid color themes that you can try out for yourself.
Templates, on the other hand, are pre-set models for different types of projects. You can use them to save time while ensuring that your project meets professional standards.
The Karma score is Todoist’s way of doing reports. You tell the tool the number of tasks you can achieve in a given period. When you complete these tasks, your Karma score improves. You can turn the feature on and off at will.
Todoist Customer Support is mostly self-help. Their support page has a search bar that directs you to any desired topic of help. All the major features of Todoist and their modes of working are linked to help pages and articles too.
They also have an FAQ section. Todoist does not have a dedicated call center or telephone number. However, you can submit an email or ticket directly from their help page by clicking the ‘Contact Us’ button.
Wunderlist has a basic free package. This package gives you the ability to share lists and is compatible with all devices. You can also make unlimited comments on your tasks. They also have free trials for their paid options.
There are two paid options: Wunderlist Pro and Wunderlist Business. Wunderlist Pro is for individual users and costs $4.99 per month. It gives you the ability to make unlimited tasks and files.
Wunderlist Business is for group users. It costs $4.99 every month for each user. Because it is a group enabled tool, it has features for team management and centralized billing.
Todoist also offers a free package. Their free package supports a maximum of 80 projects. They also offer a premium package that also works best for individual professionals. Billing is yearly, but the cost per month is $3. You can have at most 300 projects on this package.
The business package is for multiple users. It costs $5 every month for each user. Each team member will get their inbox and assigned roles. The maximum number of projects is 500.
An impressive thing Todoist has managed to do is give discounts to select groups of people. Students and educators of all types fall into this category. Non-profit organizations receive this incentive. These discounts may seem like a small gesture, but it helps Todoist. Students and educators typically have hefty workloads. It makes sense that they would search for just such an app. Non-governmental organizations are also in the same bracket; they too could do better with a productivity app.
The Verdict: Wunderlist VS Todoist
Todoist is, by a large margin, the superior app here. Its features are much more advanced and enable you to do a lot more. Since its purchase in 2015 by Microsoft Wunderlist has been dying. Microsoft intended to phase it out slowly. This decline is understandable since Microsoft has a similar app and would want to promote it. The best performing features from Wunderlsit would have been taken and incorporated into Microsoft’s app.
However, so far, nothing has happened. Existing users of Wunderlist can continue using the app. They’ll get support and are perhaps so used to the way it works that change would be hard. However, for new users, Wunderlist is the least desirable app you would want. Because its features have not been upgraded in almost four years, it is lagging in virtually all aspects. You cannot have location reminders, which are first becoming a key feature in all productivity apps.
Their sub-lists are also so dull as to be merely decorative. You really can’t use them to enhance your lists at all.
Lastly, their paid packages despite being less impressive than Todoist’s cost more.
Todoist is one of the leading productivity apps in the market currently. It has an impressive set of features and an interface that is intuitive and easy to navigate. It also offers integrations with other useful apps such as email and calendar applications. This integration makes for much more seamless operation.
